Order to a "busy" life
As the owner of a business I cannot even begin to explain how life at the top can be very lonely at times. It seems like I never just have time for myself. I need to make time to work out. All too often we put so much effort into the business we then discover we have become more like roommates with our wife. We say our children are very important to us yet I am rarely home for dinner and it seems like I am always rushing to get to the game or recital. As the owner of a business, I rarely have time to think about much more than the business. It’s almost Always on my mind. Like me most business owners have a strategic plan or vision for their company but few have the time to build out a game plan for the other areas of life that tend to fall by the wayside. My "player coach" developed a strategy to achieve my business AND my personal goals and then provides ongoing accountability to ensure the greatest probability of success. For some this can be accomplished in a very short period of time; kind of like a tune-up. For others it may take several months as several areas are tackled simultaneously and having someone to bounce things off of is helpful. Then there are some that say, “I need this type of accountability from someone who understands me for a long time, two or three years if that what it takes to build out the game plan in all five of these areas in my life.”

Flexible Engagement Structures
Typical engagements begin with an assessment stage, moving to alignment, followed by action, then ongoing accountability. After initial intensives (brainstorming, strategic planning, and structure of a game plan) one on one accountability/advisor meetings are weekly. “Advisory Board” meetings with other Balance Advisor clients and customers are monthly. “Supper Club” involving significant others are quarterly. Other optional special events are held monthly. Engagements are month to month with no long-term contracts. We structure our services to cater to your interests and needs as well as the needs of your employees. Our customized engagements are tailored in a way that is sensitive to your budget. Typically our advisors will spend 8-10 hours a month with clients.

Although Balance Advisor does not become involved in the day-to-day management issues, we are strong partners for growth. We are able to bring our network of resources to support you. Using our extensive experience, we assist you in stepping outside your business to advise, encourage, and help. We are active in assessing needs, setting goals and objectives, designing game plans, implementation, and ongoing motivation and accountability. Or your business may be running just fine it is the personal side of your life you desire to focus on. For example focusing on your health (one of our clients has dropped nearly 50 lbs), or getting your finances in order (we believe a sound financial plan has 8 key components- investments, insurance, taxes, real estate, etc). You may desire to strengthen your relationship by engaging in our relationship challenge, going on double dates with us, or attending an annual marriage retreat. Maybe it is focusing on your family and maybe for the first time working on a game plan as parents together and eliminating the frantic feeling, developing a shared focus, creating margin in your busy lives, and transferring a positive lasting legacy for your children and your children’s children.
